First visit of the season to Plains Road to see Welfare take on the Prims. Men against boys as far as talent goes. Gedling had enough chances in the first 5 minutes to end the game there and then, but with James Needham and Chris Henson firing wide at every opportunity, it seemed Prims had survived --- not to be. In the 7th minute, a Ryan Thompson corner was headed powerfully home by centre-half Brett Peel to open the scoring. Needham found the net after 33 minutes to make it 2-0 to Gedling. H-T 2-0. Needham finished off good play by Henson and Thompson to make it 3-0, then after dropping down a gear, Prims managed to grab a goal on the breakaway. The gap was soon back to three goals when Thompsons excellent cross was headed home by a Prims defender. F-T 4-1
